We loved working with Charlotte and Charlie on their wedding, which took place this past weekend at Bartram’s Garden. In honor of Father’s Day, Boston Wedding Photographer Luster Studios wrote a piece dedicated to the father’s role in weddings. Before going into heartwarming details about the relationship he observes through his lens, he notes the parallels that he sees between the many father-child relationships.
The blog post can be read here and is worth a read. It so accurately depicts one of the most special bonds we have. The true strength of this relationship is flexed on the wedding day with the passage from one phase in life to another. Seeing the excitement in your child’s eyes and that spark of love reminds you of your own past and only provides justification to the cyclic nature of the passage of time. Take it from one son heralding the relationship he shares with his father, thanks good ole’ Dad!

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of assisting Jamie and Will tie the knot. Being middle school English and Math teachers, there was no better location to host their big day than the College of Physicians located at 19 South 22nd Street, Philadelphia PA. Besides the sheer antiquity of the facility, which gives it its character, the building also houses the Mütter Museum.
Never heard of the Mütter Museum? Here’s some more information: “America’s finest museum of medical history, the Mütter displays its beautifully preserved collections of anatomical specimens, models, and medical instruments in a 19th century “cabinet museum” setting. The goal of the Museum is to help the public understand the mysteries and beauty of the human body while appreciating the history of diagnosis and treatment of disease.”
The Mütter Museum is open daily to the public from the hours of 10 AM to 5 PM. The space can also be rented out for formal events and was available for Jamie and Will’s guests to check out during cocktail hour.
On the second floor, two grand ballrooms provide excellent spaces for vows, dining, and dancing. If you’re searching for a venue that encompasses history, elegance, space, and is conveniently located in Philadelphia, be sure to check out the College of Physicians.
