phillies love- chrissy and bob’s engagement shoot

My sister, Chrissy, and her fiancé, Bob, are getting married in April and had an awesome engagement photo shoot at Citizens Bank Park with their photographer, Cindy Patrick. The only thing that can match their love for one another is their love for the Phillies!

I am so thrilled to be her maid… err matron of honor, and can’t wait for Bob to officially join our family. Jaclyn will be working her Two Little Birds magic at the wedding while I am nervously reciting my speech. We’ll be sure to share the details with you after the big day!!

how to throw an age appropriate wedding

We were excited to help our friends at Love Toast with their write up on how to throw an age appropriate wedding.

“Women are getting married later these days and many are struggling to plan the wedding that fits who they are today, not decades ago when they rehearsed their dream wedding with Barbie and Elmo. The big day is about the couple, so there are no rules that need to be followed, but if castles and carriages are no longer the vision, here are some tips to help throw an age appropriate wedding.

Let go of traditions: The beauty of being older is that you are more comfortable in your own skin and much more confident when it comes to speaking up. You don’t have to do what everyone else wants. “You can forego many age-old traditions that are upheld ‘just because’ if they don’t suit you and your fiance and how you envision your day,” says Caroline Covelli and Jaclyn Fisher, Co-Owners of Two Little Birds Planning.

Make some cuts: You don’t have to have a large bridal party, or any if that’s what you choose. Same goes for your guest list, says Caroline and Jaclyn, “Don’t worry about having everyone from the college circle or from your first job if they are no longer a part of your life. Invite only those that mean the most to you.”

New Year Wishes From The New Mr. + Mrs.

What better way to start the New Year than to celebrate as a newly married couple with all of your closest family and friends? Leah and Pete are to be married on New Year’s Eve at St. Clements Church, followed by a celebration at Le Méridien Philadelphia.

Celeste Guiliano, who specializes in vintage pin up and theatrical styled portraits, took this amazing photograph of Leah and Pete as part of their engagement session. They sent this fun and festive Save the Date to get their guests excited for their big day!

We can’t wait to help Leah and Pete transform their vision into their perfect day and start the New Year as a newly married couple!  When the clock strikes midnight, we hope that you are ringing in 2012 with the ones you love!

my favorite ornament

Five years ago, I found the best ornament in our Christmas tree, followed by a beautiful proposal. Three years ago, Caroline was engaged on a snowy night where she and her husband first met. For many, this winter will be filled with holiday celebrations and engagements, making the season even more special.

Happy Holidays from Two Little Birds!
We hope you get everything you wish for this holiday season…
